There is a saying that when you love your job, you never work a day in your life. This is the work atmosphere here at Matinga where some of our employees have worked here for 20 years.
Mantinga employees revealed what they value about working for this company:
“According to our figures, one in six of our employees has been employed at the company for 10 years or more. As we currently have more than 250 long-term employees, we expect that this group of “10 years plus” employees will continue to grow. And as our production is constantly improving, with new technologies are being introduced, we are creating a workplace that is increasingly and more attractive to young specialists who have entered the labor market once they have completed their studies,” says Nijolė Daukšienė, HR Director of Mantinga.
Focus on employees and technology
Mantinga’s production employees also enjoy their jobs. Rasa Šukvietienė, a production employee has been working for the company for more than 20 years, having started working in the company’s first factory when the first production lines were being installed.
“Over the course of 20 years, I have worked in various positions and on the most diverse products: I started with the baguette line, then I worked with bread, doughnuts, buns, and hand-rolled Danish cakes. Later, I started training newcomers. I have also had the opportunity to work in the quality department, and now I work on the layered product line, teaching newcomers,” says R. Šukvietienė.
When asked what she likes most about working at Matinga, the woman says that she values the high level of communication, the way new ideas are embraced, and the opportunities for employees to move forward.
The strength is the team
Production manager Erika Leščišina, who has been successfully climbing the career ladder during her seven years at Mantinga. She agrees with Rasa Šukvietienė that the employees are valued as an extremely important factor in the company’s success.
“What I like most about working here is that I am surrounded by people with a great deal of energy who are committed to achieving the best results. You can learn so much by watching them and it is always inspiring to see how the seemingly impossible can turn into a good result. At the same time, I see how the company expands, increases, becomes more modern and technologically advanced, while management still prioritizes the well-being of employees,” says E. Leščišina.
Family tandems also work
In a large company, there is no shortage of family tandems – not only spouses or grown-up children, but also siblings and other relatives work here. One such example is the sisters Evelina Grincevičienė and Silvija Stučkienė, who work as production technologists in Mantinga.
“Regardless of the blood relationship, we foster family communication with all our colleagues in the company. We can argue or disagree with another’s opinion on some work issue, but we are always respectful and flexible – we listen to the other’s opinion, and within a few minutes we are already smiling and working together for mutually beneficial solutions – after all, we are all working towards one common goal,” says S. Stučkienė, who has been working in the company since 2016.
The sisters – who both work as production technologists – both agree that the most exciting part of the job is the moment when they achieve the final result, which often takes 6-7 hours.
