Becoming a climate neutral business
LLC “Mantinga Group” together with the whole of Europe is joining the noble goal of achieving neutral CO2e emissions by 2050. We fully understand the importance and magnitude of this, if we don't start now, then when?
We have already taken a big step towards this goal – we choose electricity from 100% renewable resources. We will continue to look for ways to reduce this footprint by improving our production, implementing new cleaner technologies, educating employees and society's attitude to this topic.
Responsible raw materials
As we understand the importance of responsible raw materials, we will strive to ensure that all cocoa (from 2025) used in our products is extracted responsibly and is certified by UTZ or RFA (Rainforest Alliance). We have taken a decisive step by committing to use only RSPO certified palm oil from the next year. Already 99% of the palm oil we use is RSPO certified and from 2023 50% of the eggs we use is from "happy" hens.
Responsible packaging
We release, we not only try to use recyclable and easily separable packaging, but we also undertake to reduce the amount of packaging we introduce; we believe that packaging must change according to consumer needs and new opportunities for more sustainable packaging.
We use a lot of cellulose-based packaging when packaging our products. So we’ve decided to join the globally spreading initiative to choose FSC-certified packaging, starting our change from paper and cardboard and ending with responsibly sourced wood in 2025.
Conservation of resources
We will aim to reduce the energy and water used by 10% in the next 5 years (compared to the amount of 2022).
We have set the goal of becoming responsible producers, therefore, it is important to pursue the "more with less" principle; we understand that it is necessary to choose not only responsible resources, but also to reduce their consumption; only in this way will we truly contribute to the creation of a sustainable tomorrow.
