STAR-SHAPED FILO PASTRY PIE

MUST HAVE:

  • FILLO Pastry
  • 150 g butter;
  • 150 g brown sugar;
  • 1 orange peel (zest);
  • 150 g walnuts

THE DISH WILL SUCCESS IF YOU COOK IT AS FOLLOWS:

  1. Crush the nuts, mix them with sugar and orange zest. Melt the butter and defrost MANTINGA filo dough. Take one sheet at a time and keep the rest covered;
  2. Use a brush to smear butter over the sheet, sprinkle the nuts and sugar mix. Form a pouch with a crown on top.Place the pouch on a tray;
  3. Repeat in the same procedure using the rest of the sheets. Put the pouches in a star-shaped formation, toss with butter and top with the nuts and sugar mix;
  4. Bake for approx. 45 minutes.
