MUST HAVE:
- Puff Pastry Dough Folded
- 8 medium apples;
- 1 egg;
- 1 handful of nuts;
- 1 handful of dried fruit
- 1–2 spoons of brown sugar;
- cinnamon;
- icing sugar
THE DISH WILL SUCCESS IF YOU COOK IT AS FOLLOWS:
- Peel and deseed apples and sprinkle them with brown sugar and cinnamon. Dice the nuts and dried fruit, and then mix them up;
- Roll the dough out, divide it into 8 squares, put an apple on each, and fill the apples with the mix of dried fruit and nuts;
- Take the two opposite corners of a square, join them and press well, do the same with two other corners, and then coat the surface with whipped egg;
- Put the apples into a baking tin lined with baking paper and bake for around 20 minutes in an oven, preheated to 200 °C;
- Serve sprinkled with icing sugar.
